Eject-Ease

Mold Release for Thermoplastics

Description:
KadKlad Eject - Ease is a quick-cure, spray-on, semi-permanent mold release for thermoplastics manufacturing. Eject - Ease provides multiple releases without material transfer, pre-release, or build-up.

Uses:
Eject - Ease can be used with most resins and all major thermoplastic forming methods including Rotational Molding, Thermo/Vacuum Forming, Injection Molding and Blow Molding.

Polymer Structure:
Eject - Ease is delivered in a resin solution based on the Kadko family of polymers. Unique chemical reactions produce polysilazane polymers that are parallel in structure to silicone resins. These polymers exhibit easy cure by cross-linking at room temperature and extraordinary adhesion to almost all substrates.

Kadko polymers were originally developed for use in the aerospace industry where complete chemical cross-linking of the surface is necessary to prevent contamination of parts that are to be painted or bonded in later steps. This technology gives Eject - Ease extreme longevity without build-up or transfer.

Application Instructions:

Mold Preparation:
Remove all surface contaminants, resins and releases from mold surface with method appropriate to mold type. As final prep, clean surface again with KadKlad AllKleen to remove any remaining residue.

Eject - Ease can be applied with virtually any conventional sprayer that can produce an even, atomized spray. For best results apply Eject - Ease with a pressurized atomizer such as a Sure-Shot or suitable substitute using dry nitrogen as propellant.

Eject - Ease can be applied at all surface temperatures between 72° F and 300° F, with optimum application temperatures between 110° F and 220° F.

For first application, apply four medium-weight coats in an even manner, allowing each coat to fully evaporate before application of the next.

Mold can be placed into production immediately after application of final coat.

When touch up is needed re-apply two or three coats depending on production requirements.
